The band was founded in 1993 in Gothenburg and today consists of members Joacim Cans, Oscar Dronjak, Fredrik Larsson, Pontus Norgren and David Wallin.

Their debut album "Glory to the Brave", which was released more than 25 years ago, took the metal audience by storm and became the starting point for a long and successful career that has not yet reached its end. Hammerfall has had countless successes both nationally and internationally, received several Grammy nominations, reached over 300 million streams and sold over 3 million physical records.
