Information

Generous portions cooked with love. Our motto: “Come as a guest, leave as a friend.”
The great cowboy era took place between 1865 and 1880. Most cowboys were young men, often returning soldiers after the war. They made a living by driving cattle from Texas northwards. It was a tough, dangerous and exhausting job.

When the work of tending the land was finished, a cowboy might, if lucky, receive a few dollars in wages. For a young cowboy, the joy was then to come to a town where he could stay at a hotel with a clean bed, enjoy a hot bath, have a hearty meal, and experience a touch of glamour with lively music and charming girls.

At the heart of Church Street Saloon is, above all, our delicious food served in generous portions – through it, we wish to show our care and affection for our guests.
