Welcome to the inauguration of Sweden’s largest gingerbread house 2025.

For the fourth year, the artist Erik Olof Wiklund from Alfta is behind the creation of the spectacular gingerbread house in the museum’s entrance hall. This year’s design remains secret until the inauguration, but you can already follow the making-of and get behind-the-scenes glimpses on @ErikOlofWiklund via Instagram and Facebook.

Be inspired, amazed, and filled with festive spirit as this year’s gingerbread house is revealed – a unique artistic interpretation crafted from sugar, dough, and imagination. Erik Olof Wiklund will of course be present throughout the day to talk about this year’s theme and creative process.

Inauguration: Sunday, 30 November 2025 at 14:00 (the museum will stay open until 18:00 on this day!)

Location: Entrance Hall

Exhibition period: 30 November 2025 – 11 January 2026 (during the museum’s regular opening hours)
