Mårtens klack
From Mårtens klack, 274 metres above sea level, the forest landscape stretches out like a green sea beneath the sky.
Information
From here, you can see mile after mile of Gästrikland’s wilderness – and on a clear day, your gaze reaches all the way to the sea on the horizon. The spot offers stunning sunsets, silence and vast open landscapes that leave a lasting impression – whether you come here for hiking or biking.
The summit can be reached via a trail or gravel road from Brattforshållet. The red-marked path up to the cliff offers sections of technical singletrack for those who enjoy challenging biking through forest terrain, but there is also an easier alternative route for those who prefer gravel. At the top, you are welcomed by a rest area with a wind shelter, a fireplace and a wooden floor for sleeping – perfect for a break, an overnight stay or simply a quiet moment overlooking forests that seem to stretch on forever.
Mårtens klack is a hidden gem for hikers, cyclists and nature lovers seeking more than just a beautiful view – a place where the horizon opens up and every step, or pedal stroke, becomes part of the experience.
