SDHL: Modo
The hockey traditions of Gävle and Örnsköldsvik come together once again as MoDo Hockey visit Monitor ERP Arena for another SDHL encounter
Information
Ångermanland and Gästrikland are two parts of Sweden where ice hockey has deep roots, with generations of players and supporters behind both club crests. Over the years, MoDo have developed some of the biggest names in Swedish women’s hockey, while their 2012 Swedish Championship title remains one of the women’s team’s greatest achievements. The long journey south from the High Coast brings another meeting with Brynäs and another opportunity to compete for points that become increasingly valuable as the season progresses. For the home side, the aim is to make Monitor ERP Arena a difficult place to visit – while MoDo will be determined to make the long trip from Örnsköldsvik worthwhile. When the puck drops, it is once again Gävle against Örnsköldsvik and two proud hockey traditions sharing the same ice.
Doors open one hour before the game.
