SDHL: Skellefteå AIK
The black and yellow of Västerbotten are back in Gävle as Skellefteå AIK visit Monitor ERP Arena for another SDHL encounter with Brynäs IF.
Information
Skellefteå’s women’s team are still in the early years of their journey at the highest level of Swedish hockey following promotion in 2024, but behind them stands a club and a city where hockey holds a special place. Every season in the SDHL brings new experience and another opportunity to establish the programme among Sweden’s leading teams, with games against opponents such as Brynäs forming an important part of that journey. After their earlier meetings this season, the teams also know each other better, although new tactical decisions and form on the day can quickly change the picture. Skellefteå face a long journey south before the puck drops, while Brynäs once again have the opportunity to defend their home ice. Västerbotten against Gästrikland, black and yellow against black and yellow – similar colours, but only one team can make the game go its way.
Doors open one hour before the game.
