The Umeå club secured promotion in the spring of 2026 after an impressive season, returning to a level where they were once one of Sweden’s leading teams. During the 1980s, Björklöven established themselves among the country’s elite, reached several Swedish Championship finals and claimed the club’s greatest achievement by winning the national title in 1987. For the supporters in Umeå, the road back has been a long one, making every arena and every opponent this SHL season part of a much-awaited new chapter. In Gävle, the newcomers face a Brynäs side with its own long and successful history in the top division – bringing together two classic Swedish hockey clubs arriving at this encounter from very different starting points. Björklöven have waited a quarter of a century for this return, and Monitor ERP Arena is now one of the stages where they will set out to prove that they belong in the SHL.

Smoking is prohibited, and once you leave the arena, re-entry is not permitted.
