Summer Break at the Railway Museum

It's time for summer holidays at the Railway Museum!
On June 6, we open our doors with our full summer program available. To make the most of everything there is to see and do, we recommend spending the whole day with us.

Summer Holidays at the Railway Museum

From June 6 to August 30, it's summer holiday season at the Railway Museum. Explore Sweden’s railway history in our exhibitions, ride the miniature train in the Railway Park, enjoy a coffee and a treat in the garden café, or step inside the historic Hennan station building.

If you can’t get enough of trains, locomotives, and railway carriages, don’t miss the Train Hall – home to one of the world’s largest collections of railway vehicles. You can get there on our railbus service, which runs between the Train Hall, the museum, and Gävle Central Station.

The Railway Museum in Gävle is open daily from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm, and the Train Hall is open daily from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
