September 25–27, the National Weaving Fair is coming to Gävle. In addition to everything happening at the fairgrounds, there will be many exciting activities and attractions to explore in Gävle and the surrounding region.
The weaving fair 2025
VÄV2025, Europe’s largest weaving fair, offers a unique opportunity to discover, explore, and deepen your knowledge of handwoven artistry. The fair will take place at Monitor ERP Arena and features a diverse program of inspiring lectures, workshops, exhibitors, training sessions, and exhibitions. This year's theme, HEALTH and WELL-BEING, will influence much of the fair's content while also highlighting the rich weaving traditions of the region.
The fair is organized by the Swedish Weaving Council in collaboration with Region Gävleborg and Gävle Municipality. In addition to the fair itself, numerous activities and events will take place in and around Gävle leading up to and during these days.

Getting to the fair
Monitor ERP Arena, Gavlehovsvägen 13, 806 33 Gävle. The arena is located about 2 km from Gävle city centre.
- Bus from Gävle city centre to Monitor ERP Arena: It’s easy to take a city bus from Gävle city centre to Monitor ERP Arena – the trip takes only about 10 minutes. Line 3 departs from bay F at Norra Rådmansgatan (Gävle Town Hall) and stops at Gavlehov, right by the arena. Line 2 departs from bay G at Norra Rådmansgatan (Gävle Town Hall) and stops at Estraden, about 200 metres from the arena. Buses run frequently throughout the day. - Car: Address: Monitor ERP Arena, Gavlehovsvägen 13, 806 33 Gävle. Parking is available in the Gavlehov area and in central Gävle, where you can use nationally established apps such as Parkster and Easypark. For parking garages in the city centre, Aimo Park applies. Special parking spaces for people with disabilities are marked in the parking areas at Monitor ERP Arena.
