Fjärran Höjderbadet

Fjärran Höjderbadet is a complete swimming and leisure centre in central Gävle, open every day of the year. You can swim laps in the 25-metre pool or visit the family pool, where you can swim both indoors and outdoors all year round.

Information

In summer, the outdoor pool area is open with large lawns, playgrounds and several pools for visitors of all ages. The relaxation area has capacity for 50 people.

Indoor pools

In the 25-metre pool, you can swim laps or dive from the springboard and the 3-metre diving platform. The children’s and adults’ pool areas, with water heated to 30°C, feature water jets, whirlpools and a waterslide. You can also swim outdoors to the warm-water pool all year round.

Take a break from swimming and enjoy a coffee, snack or something to eat at the café next to the children’s pool area. Fjärran Höjder also offers baby swimming and aqua aerobics. The facility also has a gym and a sports hall.

The relaxation area features a large shared sauna for up to 25 people, where you can experience scented sauna sessions (Aufguss). There is also a steam sauna, two whirlpools and a lounge area with sofas and loungers where you can unwind.

During the summer, you can swim and exercise outdoors in the 50-metre pool, play in the children’s pool and try climbing on the inflatable play structure. Play beach volleyball, football or table tennis, or visit the play area. With its large lawns, there is plenty of space for everyone to enjoy the sun.
